Thanksgiving Message from the President

Thanksgiving Message from the President

FROM THE PRESIDENT THE COUNCIL OF EWE ASSOCIATIONS OF NORTH AMERICA, INC (CEANA)

On behalf of the Council of Representatives (COR), CEANA Executives and myself, I wish everyone and all members of the CEANA
fraternity a happy Thanksgiving.

As we gather to celebrate one of the biggest family festivities in the USA; giving thanks for various reasons for which we are most grateful,
let us not forget the less fortunate ones amongst us and most especially those of our brothers and sisters back home in the Eweland.

Thanksgiving here in the USA, marks an age-old American tradition, when friends and family gather to celebrate and give thanks for various
reasons for which they are most grateful. The Executives of CEANA are most grateful for your continued support over the years and most
especially your support at the just ended CEANA convention held in Loveland, CO.

Let us use this Thanksgiving festivities to rededicate ourselves to the core principles and mission of CEANA:
a. Facilitate collaboration and networking among Ewes in North America (USA &Canada)
b. Assist deprived communities through the facilitation of projects that target poverty alleviation, e.g. schools, health facilities, and
potable water facilities
c. Provide educational assistance to deserving students to enhance their opportunities for career and leadership development
d. Promote small-scale entrepreneurship in rural communities of Eweland

CEANA has come a long way due in part to your dedication, sacrifices, hard work and benevolence over the years. We as a group have
achieved so much within the last few years, but we still have much more to do, for which we can all be most grateful and thankful.

Let us all take this moment to enjoy the festivities with friends and family as we look forward to Dallas 2025. Please register today for the
convention to reserve your hotel room.

One of the core principles and mission of CEANA amongst others is to assist deprived communities through the facilitation of projects that
target poverty alleviation, e.g., schools, health facilities. We will continue to do our part and edge all of you to join us achieve this lofty goal.
As you celebrate thanksgiving, let me also remind all of us about essence of getting together by quoting Chinua Achebe;

“A man who calls his kinsmen to a feast does not do so to save them from starving. They all have food in their own homes. When we
gather together in the moonlit village ground, it is not because of the moon. Every man can see it in his own compound. We come
together because it is good for kinsmen to do so.”

Please enjoy the festivities, we look forward to seeing all of you at the 2025 CEANA convention in Dallas, TX.
Happy Thanksgiving,
