The President of the Council of Ewe Associations of North America, CEANA, Dr. Tsatsu Nyamadi, accompanied by Togbi Agbelorm Agbotokor II and Mr. Steve Dei, PRO, paid a courtesy call on the Speaker of Parliament of Ghana, Rt. Hon. A.S.K Bagbin, at his official residence recently. The visit was also to reciprocate and thank the Speaker for participating in CEANA 2023 held in Atlanta, Georgia. The delegation expressed gratitude and appreciation on behalf of CEANA and presented him with a plaque as a token of their recognition for his participation. Additionally, the president presented another plaque to the Rt. Hon. Speaker on behalf of the hosts of the immediate past CEANA, the Ewe Association of Georgia, EWAGA.
During the meeting, the Speaker commended CEANA for their impactful interventions in Eweland. He emphasized that their visit to Ghana and interventions inspire and give hope to all, serving as a catalyst for development . Honorable Gbabin further pledged his support for CEANA’s initiatives by offering to organize a delegation from the Parliament of Ghana to honor invitations to attend conferences and events of the organization. He also promised to personally lead a delegation whenever his presence is needed.
Overall, the Rt. Hon. Speaker commended the group for its laudable work and urged them to continue their efforts to make a positive difference in Eweland.
