The President of the Council of Ewe Associations of North America, Inc (CEANA ) Dr. Tsatsu Nyamadi on Thursday, February 23, 2023, commissioned a 4-unit bedroom nurses staff quarters at Adutor in the South Tongu district of the Volta Region. Dr. Tsatsu Nyamadi was assisted by Togbui Agbelom, Chief of Salo, also known as Nana Ofei Asamani I, Nkosuahene of Akwamu Traditional Area. Torgbui is also the official CEANA representative in Ghana.
The CEANA delegation that accompanied the President includes Dr. Peter Nata Abotchie, former President of CEANA and a citizen of Adutor, Mr. Steve Dei-PRO, CEANA, Mad. Irene Alo- President of Ewe Association of Dallas and CEANA COR member, Mr. Kossi Nutekpor – CEANA’s Project Coordinator. Efo Mawuli Agbenu-long time former official MC for all CEANA conventions and also a former Deputy Executive Director of CEANA. Mad. Vivian Newman a consistent donor to CEANA from New Jersey, Mad. Miriam Tsagli, member of Ewe Association of Washington DC Metro Inc and also a consistent donor to CEANA, Mad. Vasty Adonoo from the UK, a CEANA convention attendee, and donor. Dr. Tsoenam Akpeloo, chairman of the Greater Branch of Ghana Industries Association was also a speaker at the 2022, CEANA convention held in Houston, TX, and Mad. Margaret Kordowu. Mr. Steve Quashigah-a businessman and an entrepreneur based here in Ghana also joined the CEANA delegation. The commissioning ceremony was chaired by Professor Emeritus Francis W. Y. Momade, lecturer at KNUST and a citizen of Adutor.
These four-unit ( 4) bedroom nurses’ staff quarters were solely funded by donations from individual donors to CEANA. As a matter of fact, all CEANA projects constructed across the Eweland in Ghana and Togo so far and thousands of scholarships awarded to needy students from Ghana, Togo and Benin have been funded by individual donations to CEANA over the years, who continue to do so, due to CEANA’s commitment to the socio-economic development of the Eweland in Ghana, Togo and Benin.
